Have you ever wanted to just hide something in plain sight? Hiding in plain sight is so much fun, especially in hide-and-seek, when the person looking for you keeps looking right at you without knowing you are even there. I'm sure every pro hide-and-seek player has experienced this. But what if we wanted to hide, not ourselves, but our stuff? This list will show just a few of the many hidden-in-plain-sight containers that you can use to hide your belongings. Basically, making them invisible to everyone but yourself.
The Can
This is a can of corn without the corn. The can looks like a can, feels like a can, and is a can. The picture kinda speaks for itself, but basically, you can store small items like keys, extra cash, or your fancy watch(?) inside this to hide it from potential thieves (or family members). The Amazon site for this listing also has other versions that replicate the looks of various canned goods besides corn.
The Dictionary
Ok, so I really like this one. This dictionary is not a dictionary. It is another storage container to hide valuables (or candy!). I actually received one of these as a gift once, and it is where I hide extra cash. The benefit of this storage box is the lock. Even if a person happens to discover that this book is not a book at all, the only way they can access the contents is with a three digit code.
The Outlet
This item is an outlet security safe made to look like a normal outlet. Just by looking at the outlet, nobody would ever know of its existence! It comes with a small shelf on the inside so that the user can have two compartments if needed to hide small valuables and important items. It is also extremely easy to open . . . with the key. The outlet cover is easy remove because it is magnetically attached to the safe. As an added bonus, the safe has a gap between the outlet cover and the actual safe in the wall. This way, a power cord can be plugged in as extra disguise!
The Hairbrush
This one's for those with hair. This item is a usable hairbrush, just with a secret compartment where cash or other small things can be stored. I found other brushes with hidden storage spaces, but many of those are located in the handle making it bulky and abnormal looking. With this one, you do not see any abnormalities.
The Water Bottle
Many people carry water bottles to stay hydrated. Some of us carry them to stay hydrated and show off the hidden compartment in the bottom. Of course, telling others where a secret storage place is defeats the purpose of having one, but the having one is both cool and useful! The bottom portion of this water bottle unscrews to reveal a small pocket where items such as keys, cash, cards, and snacks can be hidden. The water bottle itself can still hold 17oz. of liquid, but sneakily is carrying more than just water!
